Mobilizing Assets, Maximizing Impact
C-SocPhil Director Authors Cover Story for Fall 2008 EGA Journal
CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Center for Social Philanthropy’s Director Joshua Humphreys, a lecturer at Harvard University, has authored the cover story for the fall edition of Environmental Grantmakers Association’s quarterly publication, the EGA Journal.
“Mobilizing Assets, Multiplying Impact: Fully Leveraging Philanthropic Capital for Environmental Change” explores the “sea change in the way [the foundation community] uses philanthropic capital to advance charitable goals.” In it, Dr. Humphreys highlights leading examples of EGA members who are using their endowment assets to promote environmental sustainability and long-term responsible endowment stewardship, including the Bullitt Foundation, the Nathan E. Cummings Foundation, the Needmor Fund, and the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment, among others.
